Female and Cars
What do you think about girls driving cars?
There are many anecdotes about this theme. So what is your attitude?

Demon with a shaker hood scoop
Hopefully someone here can help me out, back in the mid 80's I owned a early 70's Dodge Demon with a 340 and I swear it had a shaker hood scoop stock. I only owned the car for a about a year and never took any pictures of it. Now I'm trying to find a picture of that style of demon online and I'm not having any luck. Am I just suffering from early onset oldtimers? And dodge never produced a shaker hood scoop on a demon, or were they just incredibly rare? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Custom corvette HID headlight kits!
( bannerCollapse )
Hey. Someone in the gearheads community told me my post sounded a little spammy, so here's the deal: My brother just started his own business that launched a website this weekend. Im just trying to help him out get the word around because he has been doing some pretty cool stuff basically making from scratch some projector HID headlight kits for corvettes. He has other corvette products too. Would you guys mind checking out his site and letting me know what you think? thanks! www.corvetteHID.com

You should be reading this:
Moderator's recommendation: if you aren't already reading ateupwithmotor
, you should be. This blog is periodically updated with in-depth looks at the history (and sometimes the current status and future) of notable manufacturers and models, usually with photos taken by the author. This blog isn't limited to American automobiles or muscle cars, but I find it endlessly fascinating.

so, my uncle bought a truck for $300 a couple weeks and he is scrapping the whole thing but the frame...he told me last week i could have the transmission and i asked today for the engine...he told me to pull it out and take it!!! so now im at a fork in the road...i can build a truck or a car, but i want to build something that i can make a good amount of money off of....so ive been looking at camaros, novas, chevelles and monte carlos...they have really good values acording to nadaguides.com but i need the car soon so i can start working on the body and everything else that needs to be done...so anyways im just trying to decide which of these cars i wanna build...the engine is a 350, and im probably gonna build it up to be pretty beastly..anyways just looking for thoughts and suggestions, thanks

New Member and New Comm Pimp
I am hoping that this will be a kind of love fest and rescue mission for 1967 Chev Impalas. My friend, soydolelatte
, told me about seeing one of these beauties IMPALED outside a junkyard in Montana.
I found my own, rusted out and dying.
I am hoping this comm will be a blend of SPN fen (Yes, we're fans of Supernatural, the car ROCKS, what?) and gearheads or mechanics that can help us get these babies back out on the road. So, post any ones for sale from junk yards, eBay, dealerships and lets not let this beautiful, predatory car die!
This is all about the love othe the '67 Chev Impala, people!
Rumbledy Rum Rum...
Don't let this:( for picsCollapse )
Sexy, sexy car!

Looking for customization stories.
whats up grease monkeys. tell me your stories. I wat to hear about the stuff that you have had done, things your friends had done, and all that shi* that you heard about. I'm interested in details though. what exactly was done to the best of your knowledge. What was the ride? What was done? Was it good work? Did you do it yourself or did you pay someone else to do it for you? What did you spend? Do you think you got a deal or face planted over the rear bumper and introduced to Shaft? I want to know everything. Here's why. I am a customizer. Hot rods, lead sleds and custom jobs on new shit too. A guy wants lambo hinges on a mid 80's capris. (yeah I dunno but thats what he wants) Stories give me ideas. I have never been much of a poster on LJ, more of a voyur but that will change soon. A buddy of mine has a shop that he got into a few months back and he is doing mainly paint work. Custom and nice earl schrive's but he doesn't really have any fabrication experience and jack shit for auto mechanical knowledge. he wont even pull the engine out of a 59 chevy pick em up (thats a 30 min job) thats where I come in. I have been a fabricator for years, most recently at a stainless steel shop (huge microwaves, two ton of bacon per hour, and the machines that make drugs, asprin exct.) So yeah tell me your stories and later Ill show you mine.
